Our tradition of homebuilding distinction originated in Bergen, Norway in the nineteenth century. At the time, Bergen was Northern Europe’s fastest growing and most important commercial, shipping and industrial city. This rapid economic growth demanded a committed movement of artisans devoted to the highest quality of workmanship in the building trades. The strong work ethic and craftsmanship of our family’s first generation of carpenters, woodworkers and homebuilders was exceptional! And that commitment has evolved over five generations in Europe and the United States to culminate in the refined approach to custom homebuilding that HR Johnson Homes is known for today.
